RayFThose crap earplugs that you linked to have their place, just not in my ears when I'm trying to enjoy loud music.
Maybe if you spent a bit more time understanding what these are, you would not come across as such a dolt...maybe.
MotorradMy, my didn't someone get up on the wrong side of the bed? I don't know how you ever got the impression I was suggesting you should put those earplugs in your ears! No, no--in your case, I was suggesting you shove them up your ass until you felt them in your ears. In that position perhaps you'd understand no one gives a rat's ass what your understanding of the actual conversation was really about. N'est-ce pas, mon dick-head?
RayFLet me get this straight, you spent all that time to air that comment that has nothing to do with this product. It's not for sleeping. Well, you could sleep in them if you need slight attenuation. They're not meant for maximum attenuation. But you could have figured that out just by reading the description. In that case, you could have figured it out by reading the product title. Obviously you wouldn't need "High-fidelity ear plugs" to sleep, right? So they're obviously not meant for sleeping. Simple deduction. Keep up.
Major_InfidelI wouldn't have agreed until I read your post--now I do!
And thanks for dropping into the conversation four-weeks after the fact (so timely of you ;- )
RayFGood luck trying to pretend that your “contributions” to this thread were any less idiotic four or eight weeks ago than they are now. You write a novella length review of a product you don’t own based on a fundamental misunderstanding of the product‘s intended purpose. And then you get your nose bent out of shape when everyone calls you out on it. Classic.
Major_InfidelPerhaps you have a point to make?
Cute nom de plume by the way--makes you sound all anti-muslim and warrior-like. Goes well with the Rothco and Cold steal drops/polls. Aren't dress-up games fun?
RayFAlthough I'm almost positive you're just here to start arguments, what you said in the original comment was ignoring the group of people these are designed for. While the cheap foam plugs are great for handling noisy situations where you just want some quiet, these are designed for people who still want to hear their surroundings as they would sound without earplugs, except quieter. As someone who claims to have used many foam earplugs, I'm sure you know how much muddier any outside noise sounds while wearing a pair. So for frequent concert goers, motorcyclists, or pep band directors who need to hear their surroundings with good sonic detail and accuracy, the cheap foam ones won't do the trick. These are designed for them. I have never used these earplugs before so I can't speak to how well they perform, but if they offer sound reduction while retaining a good amount of detail, there is a group of people who would easily spend $18 on these rather than a few cents on disposable ones.
There is also a point you would reach where these would be cheaper than using the disposable ones, but you'd definitely have to go through an impressive number of foam ones for that to be the case.
RayFMy apologies if that's the case, although by the insults you were dishing out earlier I find it hard to believe you would find the way I addressed your comments offensive. However, I did in no way mean to hurt any feelings and I simply wanted to have a debate over the validity of this product. On that note, what are your thoughts on what I said? Beyond the offensive part of course.
jpkebI was kidding—I’m not not particularly sensitive and you didn’t hurt my feelings. Your comments were quite good and have completely changed my thinking on the subject —and on the meaning of life for me in general. Many thanks!
