Considering this or a FiiO X3 Mk III. Since either would be my first DAP I don't know well enough to be able to compare the two. Thanks in advance for any responses.

TLemelinOkay well, I went with this anyhow. Mostly because, despite being older, it was touted as a mid-level DAP, whereas (as I understand it) the FiiO X3 is entry level. Going to see if I can find a base that matches whatever wood I receive.

TLemelinNo need for the base, it came with it! As my first DAP I'm happy with it. Sad to hear all of the issues that people had with the company, but I had none so there's no reason to deprive myself.
