I’ve used many headphones through the years and I can honestly say these ones have my attention. There and really only two drawbacks I have with them. First being the higher frequencies tend to be a bit over the top but not to the point where I can’t stand it, the second is just my opinion but I wish they would have used a different material to shield the wires. As it stands it seems like the kinda sticky rubbery finish that discolors over time, hopefully I am wrong but that’s what it appears to be. Bass and mids sounds great and overall gives a new outlook on my music collection. If you get it on a drop for $20 or less, TAKE IT! If you don’t like them, they definitely will be a great gift for someone!
I must say that when I bought this on sale for $15, I was expecting some pretty average IEMs but I was honestly surprised. Audio was very clear with alright separation, good treble and bass was punchy but kind of lacking. The cable was very durable, and the materials used made it feel premium. They also lasted for a long time, at least longer than most $15 earbuds I brought before. My pair lasted for about 7 months before the right earbud went slient and soom after, the left earbud got the same fate. Overall, for my first pair of IEMs, it really broke my expectations. If you're looking for a pair of cheap IEMS, these aren't bad.
Pros:
-very low profile
-highly portable, even comes with a bag
-comes with a large variety of tips (and a pair of T400 Comply tips to boot)
-very good fit and isolation with stock tips
Cons:
-the cables are VERY microphonic (makes a thundering noise even at the slightest movement; don't even think about using these while moving)
-bad QC: mine came with adhesive stains all around the connection seems on the units, which are impossible to fully remove
Notes:
-bloated MSRP (these are in no way worth $80)
-sound is nothing special. If you're looking for budget IEMs with great sound, these aren't going to cut it.
-these are supposed to be an on-the-go IEMs, but the loud cable noise makes it hard to consider them as such.
I got these for $20, but they returned for $15.
For this price, these might seem like a no-brainer, but there are better choices out there.
At first, I was very disappointed by the sound quality, the highs and especially the S's on the vocals and were very overpowering and sorta distorted, but once I swapped out the default eartips for the included comply foam eartips and actually got a good fit in my ears it made a word of difference. The highs are no longer overpowering and the lows and mids are more pronounced. Tweaking some eq settings to reduce the 15KHz range a bit also helped tremendously. The highs are still a bit more pronounced than I would prefer but its definitely not unbearable like it was initially. For $15 you cant really go wrong with these, but I wouldnt pay much more than that for them. The build quality seems good. I like the included cable, little no microphonics, some deep rumbly type sound while moving around but I hardly notice it. Might update my assessment of the build quality after I use these for a couple months but right now im pretty happy with these.
They look and fit great. Unfortunately the pair I received sound horrible, the mids and lows are extremely distorted and flat. The price is good, but when you wait 5 weeks and get something that doesn't work it is extremely disappointing. Maybe I'm the only one with the issues but I wouldn't recommend them.
