I live in Vermont and I am wondering how well something like this would handle big hills and salty roads. The hill I live on is long and has a 15% grade. I wouldn't be riding this thing in the winter, but the roads stay salty for quite some time where I live. I would want to make sure that I could use this thing to get home and that it would be able to hold up to the conditions here.

jreeseFor a 180 lbs rider, the scooter can handle up to 12-14% incline (the speed would be significant reduced). We use never-flat solid rubber tires so it's very durable. You can see a video of one of our reviewers riding it in the winter condition. Maybe it can help you make a decision?

You can always kick-assist the scooter on steeper hills as well. The hub motor design ensures no damage to the motor and battery when you kick-pedal M3 like a regular scooter.
