I have a question if the people from EcoReco are still reading...
Will the M3 survive riding in wet weather? I live in Seattle so anything that's going to be an actual "last mile" vehicle _needs_ to handle the rain. I understand that it won't have good traction, but I'm asking about the motor, battery, and electronics. Are all the sensitive, expensive bits sealed up from the weather, or will this thing crap out on me the first time I ride it through a sprinkle?
Thanks. I really would like to get one, but I'm holding out depending on the answer to this...

the_timYes. This is true. It's not the best idea to ride in wet weather (no vehicle is) but the scooter will not be damaged by rain.
From the website:

Q: How well does the electric scooter work in the rain?
A: We don't recommend to operate it in the rain for safety reasons. The vision is worse, the road is more slippery, and it takes longer to stop. It is generally not a good idea to bike or scooter in the rain. However, if you got caught up in the rain on your way home, the M3 scooter is water-resist and will still function well. Just remember to wipe the water away and keep it dry once you are indoor to keep the product life long. Moist doesn't go well with electronics and batteries.

autoteleologyYeah well considering that I ride my Razor kick scooter in the rain already, and have ridden my electric bicycle in some pretty nasty weather too, I'm comfortable with slowing down around turns and leaving more stopping room.
Like I said, I mainly just want to know that it won't kill the electronics. From that bit you found on the site, sounds like it's still a bit risky...
