Mine finally came in today! Literally 15 minutes after I left for work, too, so I had to go the rest of my shift knowing it was waiting for me back at home. If any of you are familiar with the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip, I felt like Calvin waiting for his Beanie for 6 weeks. Anyway I'm currently charging it for the requisite 12 hours before first use, and can't wait to try it out tomorrow morning.
Something tells me this is going to be one purchase I will not regret!
I'm guessing the only thing you might regret is the charging. Took it into work today and went for a spin around the building. Half a mile later, I can say is is probably the most insane scooter I've ever owned. Acceleration is, like all electric vehicles, just there, so their recommendation of practicing is a very good one. I've even let someone else try it, only to walk away saying if they had the funds, they'd grab one just because.
Too bad the pdf detailing how to disable to safe-start is simply a zero byte file...
For those willing to crack open the foot bed with appropriate tools, you'll find a mess of wires, with a harness of three plugs/jacks with labels towards the bottom right of the box. Each has a label indicating what it controls, with two for the speed governor, and one that's labeled kickstart. Match the color wires, and you can disable the safe-start, set the speed limit to I think it was 20 kph. or 13 kph. Cross the color wires and you'll enable the corresponding jack option, so make sure you can see the colors.
Of course, be careful when you do this, all those screws have loctite applied and avoid having any wires hanging out when you close it back up!
