I bought an EcoReco Scooter around February. I love this little machine, I don't need it to commute, I ride it for fun. I have put over 500 miles on it and haven't kissed the pavement yet on an unexpected stop. I have had to get off quickly and run beside it to stop due to pilot error and other factors. Just due your best to avoid potholes and fracture lines in the pavement - the fracture lines will catch your wheel and you will drift in the lines until you get out. I have ridden on bicycle paths, sidewalks, wooden bridges, side streets, and light gravel paths. If you plan to travel on anything more than the street or bicycle path, I would suggest getting the M5 with the suspension. You would appreciate it on sidewalks, wooden bridges or gravel pathways. On a wooden bridge I was vibrating so much my vision was blurred but on a bicycle path it is a smooth ride. For me I can go 12 miles, that is usually traveling at a top speed of 18 - 22 mph on mostly level pathways. I am not a flyweight but still not close to the max weight capacity.
