So, the stand seems to include a two-sided sticker for sticking the pad on but also a clear sticker. Anyone know what the clear one is for?

I'm curious about this, too. I feel silly typing this, but I wish the stand came with a manual. :-)
My guess is that you can cut it up and use it on the bottom, to make it less likely to slide, and maybe protect the surface it is sitting on. The edges are a bit sharp on mine.
