Don’t bother ordering from Edge of Belgravia. You’ll pay and then never receive anything and no one from the company will even bother responding to your emails. I was excited at first to receive these knives. Now I just feel like I’ve been scammed and have to go to my bank in hopes of getting my money back. I made my order a month ago and never even received as much as tracking number. Shady company

Is it typical for a drop to take OVER A MONTH to even ship? I was pretty excited to get a good deal on a ceramic set but good grief, the estimated ship date is Jan 10th, i never would have got in on this had i known it wouldn't even ship until after the holidays.

I got this drop a year ago and i do love the design of these knives (esp. with the block - very striking!) They're certainly sharp and could make short work of vegetables easily however, ceramic knives are quite light compared to metal so they will feel odd at first. im yet to push mine with harder chopping / meats, so these have unfortunately been left strictly for vegetables and fruits ... also, i dropped one off the bench and it shattered - ceramic is hard as hell and keep their edge, but they're brittle!

Don't buy ceramic knives if you intend or have the capability to sharpen steel ones. Ceramic is hard to sharpen and has a large number of downsides. The upside is that it can hold an edge larger. If you can sharpen a normal wuality steel knife, you loose all the upside, and are left with all the downsides.

Touch of Modern lists this set for $89.99 + $10 shipping. So, a far cry from the $269 MSRP listed here, but still marginally a good deal.
acridThey were running a deal on the knives as well, we list the MSRP because that remains constant throughout the year. We aim to be the lowest price available, but can't list the next lowest comp price because that changes every day on Amazon and other deal sites. Hope this helps clarify things a bit.

I backed the Kuroi Hana knives from the same manufacturer, and I currently have the set at home. They have a very striking appearance, and the handles may be a little polarizing, but I find them comfortable. If you’ve ever used Global knives, the feel is similar.
However, I wasn’t impressed with the edge. They’re sharp, but the edges aren’t balanced, they look sloppy, and appear to have been rushed on a belt grinder.
They used an AUS-10 steel core, but they left it exposed along the spine. I think it would’ve looked better had they folded the other layers over it. I doubt it affects the longevity, though.
So Edge of Belgravia gets good marks for their aesthetic qualities, but a shrug for their finish.
