Edifier speakers sound great (in my experience) but these seem a little underpowered. 72W RMS (which will be advertised on the box as about 150W total power) is okay, but not super loud. I got a logitech z623 set for $120 and that was 200W RMS (400W total power) between the satelite pair and subwoofer.
I have no doubt that these speakers probably "sound" better but I can guarantee they won't be as loud. If you want some Edifier bookshelf speakers but also want a sub, this might scratch that itch but be aware you get what you pay for.
How loud will these get? They will definitely fill a room, but won't fill an entire house floor, for example. You can buy a louder TV soundbar/sub combination, so I wouldn't get these for a TV.
