Product Description
The Edox Delfin Fleet 1650 is inspired by a 17th-century Dutch trade ship. Called the Tijger, Dutch for “tiger,” the ship was part of the East India Trading Company and set sail in the early 1650s Read More
Looks good, but the domed crystal and the bezel remind me too much of the oris sixtyfive. Which is one of the watches I really want to get. The day date reminds me of a seiko.
I am curious if this is a limited edition watch? All the other listings I've seen indicate it is; 300 pcs World Wide for Steel.
It isn't noted here, but one of the comments below says they received #300 of 300... ?
While I'm liking the style and have ordered... hoping it is part of the 300 pcs, not a re-issue without numbers... that would be some serious disrespect for the folks who ordered for a "limited" design.
Received mine today (I live in Germany)........left me with some mixed feelings. Not because of the watch itself but:
packaging could have been better (almost no bubble wrap used)
the outer boxes cover is broken, the inner box is a bit beaten
the box Is not the one you can see on the images on the web for the 1650 fleet, it’s a smaller regular Edox box
the leather travel case is missing, the nato strap was in the box though and the small book about the Fleet 1650 was also in there
Now I know that neither the travel case nor the nato strap were mentioned in the description on Massdrop, but it is the Fleet 1650, which is a limited watch and came with a bigger box and the travel case. One might ask why the description was rather vague.....
The watch itself is great though, love the domed sapphire!
Question to the other buyers: how did your watch arrive, was it a complete set?
Of course it is - #116.....I also got the little "book" that also has the number on it, just not the packaging that belongs to the limited edition.....how did yours arrive @Dakotab ?
Tony-MI am part of the current drop, so will report back when it arrives.
In recent history, I've made a fair amount of buys from (mass)Drop with different experiences...at least 1 which was a different product than was shown. I'm a bit more cautious now and try to get more info from others who have already jumped in.
I am mostly satisfied with MassDrops responses... but 2 have been specially unsatisfactory. More cautious with MD and not completely willing to sacrifice my rights or expectations as a customer... so measuring experiences of the others here either seals the deal or hurries me to the exit door.
Looking forward to seeing this cool inspired Edox. Cheers
