Well...it's not ugly, it's on the smaller side at 41mms, it's fairly thin at 10mms, they had the good sense to hide that silly engraving on the back where you won't have to look at it often, and its got a SWISS quartz movement (which is probably made in a country that doesn't begin with an "S", but that's not really a big deal), comes in three color and indices combinations, and you get what looks like some nice leather straps, and it kind of has a Bauhaus-feel to it. And it's on the inexpensive side. So what's not to like?
