Les Vauberts, where this collection of Edox watches takes its name, is a small area near Les Genevez, famous for hosting the first watchmakers more than four centuries ago. I'm not new to this site, but new to actually buying and buying procedures. It states that 4 more purchasers needed to continue the run? If not the run will stop?
dawhoda1That's correct. Certain manufacturers require a minimum number of orders or they won't sell any at the price offered for the run. Not all drops have that requirement, though.
A general question based on this watch’s description. I often see “sapphire-coated mineral crystal”, as on this watch. I am assuming it’s better than “mineral crystal” but not as good as “sapphire crystal”.
Anyone have more insights, either to correct an incorrect assumption I’ve made or at least a better explanation of the differences between the types? Thanks!
LeeSEYou are correct. In order of scratch resistance you would have sapphire at the end of the spectrum. Sapphire coated mineral is probably about the same as hardlex (what Seiko uses instead of mineral crystal).
Seems like this happens a lot on this site, unless I've gone color blind overnight.
They have a nice looking blue as the main pic, and then down below, no blue...
mhipI think you're right, which is also probably why the price has been lowered by about $20 compared to the previous drop (which I joined and got the blue in)
Edit: Or the blue might have required a $20 top up, I forgot
Correctly aligning all the values seems to be a pain. Anyone knows how to adjust theirs quickly? On mine the crown seems to have only 2 positions- default and time adjustment.
Update: HAHA my bad, I just realised I was refering to the incorrect model in the instructions XD
So the first one is indeed 40008 AIN, I wrote them, Drop changed it with correct image. 40101 AIN is a current model, $325 at Jomashop, so if it were $180 it'd have been a bargain. : (
