From El Casco, a Spanish company with a long history in metalwork, this rocker blotter removes excess ink without smudging the page or your hands, so only crisp, clear pen strokes remain. Its heirloom-quality construction—solid brass with your choice of shiny or matte finishes—means you can pass it down for generations to come. Each blotter is appointed with a knightly logo, appropriate for El Casco, whose name translates to “the helmet.” The included blotter paper is incredibly absorbent and durable, and can hold up through repeated uses as it becomes beautifully colored with various inks.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of finishes between Chrome/Black, Chrome/Gold (+ $40), Gold (+ $50), Gold/Black (+ $15), Satin (+ $20), and Shiny Chrome (+ $30). All options with gold use the same 23-karat gold plating as El Casco's matching inkwell. This drop is limited to 15 units.
Founded in September of 1920, El Casco was originally a firearm factory. When the economic downturn came in 1929 and the arms industry began to struggle, the company decided to expand its product line to include staplers and pencil sharpeners—and later, desk accessories. Despite modern advancements, El Casco’s products are still largely made by hand and each part individually numbered for assembly.
