As a buyer it does not instil confidence in my choice to purchase when promised updates are nearly a week overdue. Communication is key to keeping us satisfied that our money has been well-spent and that we will indeed receive the product we paid for. Please provide some sort of update, be it good or bad, so that we know when to expect our purchases to arrive.
CDNBaconI would even say that it doesn't make me want to buy anything from here ever again... Slow shipping is fine, and we totally get the point. But saying there will be an update about a drop, and even after almost one whole week we didn't receive anything, I call that poor management.
Would something like "We're sorry, we didn't hear from the merchant yet. Expect an update from us on 12/09 or sooner if something comes up." be too much asked?
