It arrived on Tuesday. Nice unit build. The setup is easy and although odd, the USB-C port placement is not a problem Excellent coverage across the desktop with next to no spill onto the monitor. Two gripes. 1 - The unit control is less than intuitive and the english instructions are not great. I have it figured out but it was a learning curve. 2 - if you have a curved monitor (Samsung Neo G8 - 32" and curved) the light may rest on the top or be occluded by the monitor frame as you go farther from center. *On a normal flat monitor it fits perfectly

Every time I see a monitor lamp like this, I get upset at the cost; but because I'm ignorant to exactly *why* they tend to cost so much I'm hesitant to just presume the worst. Having said that, it's VERY tempting to do just that since the tech/materials are more affordable when in different forms haha. My point is to ask for insight on any particular reason these things tend to cost so much - especially considering the lack of a dedicated power supply. My experience with ANY led lamp using USB power is that of concern from the excessive draw making huge amounts of heat at the source. As eager as I am to just condemn greed, I at least like to know if it's applicable lolol

nice looking light bar, but for the price I would lean towards the BenQ model. Personally I have a $25 amazon other brand that has worked well for the past 3 years. Also seeing this listed for less on other sites ($69 - 75).

Meh. What an awkward design.

The USB port placement is strange. I wouldn't want to be able to see it popping up from the top during normal use

I wouldn't mind a lightbar but it has to be compatible with my camera that is also perched dubiously over the edge now... I very much doubt they stack.

I like it but hoping the next version has Bluetooth so the remote control can be eliminated and the price lowered. Perhaps colour LEDs so you can sync it with your other devices. I'd buy with these upgrades.

tguyThe BenQ lightbar (notably the most expensive one) doesn't even have bluetooth. In fact, I don't know if any do. Maybe Matter enabled at some point sure. Just a thought.

Interesting light bar, not a lot of reviews on it so I'll be interested to see everyone else's take on it. I still haven't used one before but I know there are some similar ones for quite a bit more that I have thought about getting. There are also much cheaper ones as well which I haven't heard good things about. It's nice to see some higher quality alternatives.

573V0There are definitely similar products that may do it better, but this just screams, "I have money to burn, gaze upon my battlestation and weep at your meagre paycheck!"

573V0If you look at their old Kickerstarter pages, which was hugely successful at raising money, you'll see that things did not go well. Shipping delays and lots of people who's units stopped working after a very short time (if they worked correctly at all). Also, giving Drop your money now (which they sit on earning interest with for 3 months) and then possibly they ship (assuming it's not canceled like so many other "Drops"). Of course "all orders final" instills a TON of confidence too! There are a ton of similar products you can buy and have immediately, for the same price or less, with the same or better reviews.
