I was skeptical about these things making any difference in my baking, but it's now my go-to baking dish for making quiche. It really is awesome. Can't speak to the price as mine was a gift - but it's an awesome pie pan.
I also used it to glaze a fresh ham I had just finished 72 hours in sous vide - in a 425 degree oven....
