Well, I have a bit of mixed feeling about the headphones.
Sound amazing, just the sound signature I love, with Soft yet punchy bass that doesn't overpower the wounder-full mids, highs are good as well.
Build is up to snuff, the clicks on the headband adjustment are just so satisfying. And the wood is a nice touch, as you see they look apart. But why? why the cable isn't detachable? it isn't too long and terminates in a 3.5mm jack, but still non detachable and is a Y split. =[
Comfort, they are light, but the ear-cups are just in the middle where they are too small for over ear and to large to be on ear for me =[
Modding is a breeze, the cups disassemble completely with 4 screws and have plenty space in the cup for other mods (see next point for my mod simple)
All my issues with this headphones are solvable (And yes i solved them already) the pads i replaced with Brainwavz HM5's, and I modded the headphones so they will have 3.5mm mono sockets.
Also looking into testing some ear-cup fillers to play with the sound signature.
SkinnerSweetI tried the Brainwavz Pads but they were too thick and so they altered the sound a LOT. I need to find thinner pads but I really want to do the removable cable mod just like you did. Did you do it yourself?
SnakeATWARYes i did it myself, it is pretty easy because the strain relief inside the cup is shaped ideally to hold a female 3.5mm socket.
If you find thinner pads do post them here, I just cant overcome the comfort of the Brainwavz Pads. (most my music isn't bass heavy so I don't mind the softer bass for comfort)
SkinnerSweetIt took some custom work but I am using some T70 pads (thinner than DT pads) that seem to work nicely but I think there might be a resonance I didn't notice before? It turned out nicely enough I think. https://imgur.com/a/QL9Eb It's not exactly easy to swap them out either to check the stock pads for the resonance.
