I received this Saturday purchased as a gift for my father, but upon inspecting it I don't really know what kind of QC (quality control) the company uses I will attach some pictures and explain what issues I see if they aren't CLEARLY visible to everyone else.
(*I did not draw that line it was left from manufacturing.)
weld for water opening rim isn't complete and flush.
same goes for the opposite side but it is a little better.
***not an issue just a whole picture with razor for size reference. And I am using your pictures on here as a reference all the welds look clean are all around the surfaces from what I can tell etc... please don't get me wrong here but I believe for the price of these the QC would be a little better.
***NEW EDIT*** Brush came in today and even the little spot to sit the brush is slanted so the brush just easily slides off doesn't even sit well... I NEED a reply ASAP on the QC of this because I believe this is slightly unacceptable for the price.

Another quick update for you all. The vendor has informed us that many individual packages have now shipped out and the rest will be en route to you by tomorrow morning. We will make sure to update the group again as soon as we receive word that all packages have indeed shipped.

Another brief update. We are still coordinating with the vendor to individually ship these units to each of you. They have let us know that all packages should be picked up tomorrow and we will still be sure to update the group as soon as we receive confirmation that everything has gone out.

Another quick update for everyone. We just heard back from the vendor and they've informed us that the group's order is now complete and ready for shipment. To speed up the process and ensure these are en route to each of you as quickly as possible, the vendor has kindly agreed to ship the packages directly to you all rather than channeling everything through our warehouse first. We will continue to coordinate with them on this and update the group once more as soon as all packages are on the way!

Another brief update for the group. We are continuing to work with the vendor throughout this fulfillment process to attain more updated shipment estimates from them. We have been told that progress is still going according to plan and everything should be shipping in line with the date in the drop description page. Once we receive confirmation that the shipment is en route to New Jersey we will be sure to update the group again!

You made it happen! We’re excited to let you all know that the drop was successful and the order has now been placed with the vendor for the English Pewter Co. Pewter Shaving Mug. As soon as they are done preparing the shipment and once we receive it at our warehouse in New Jersey we will break it down into individual orders and have them on their way to each of you! It's not this exact scuttle, but the principle is similar. Note that when he stuffs the brush into the scuttle mouth at the end, he's basically rinsing the brush, so only do that when you're done shaving :)

This appears to be more of a shaving scuttle than a mug (yes I know the company calls it a mug), but I have to say, my biggest concern would be that pewter would not retain heat well, which would kinda defeat the purpose of this product.
