Sorry for the mess, the middle one I have owned for 10 or so years the other 2 for 5 years. They are all different sizes.
Way back when I was doing my research for cutting boards these caught my eye. I like the slim and simple look of the cutting boards. I've worked in kitchens for 6 years a have a small set of my own kitchen knives I toat with me and have used my knives on these cutting boards (duh).
I see some comments concerned with dulling knives. I mean, yeah. In time. I don't complain how these cutting boards treat my knives though. I got the other 2 as a wedding registry gift because I wanted a set. And do not regret it.
NickVLThey are made out of paper and resin, then pressed and heated. It is actually a product called Richlite which sells the slab product to fabricators, mostly for countertops but also things like skate park ramps. Epicurean has been doing cutting boards out of it for years, you'll also find long strips of it in a lot of restaurant kitchens. Stuff is super tough, you can take a hammer to it, I'm not kidding I used to make and install counters out of this product.
I bought one from BB&B last year. My favorite cutting board to use. I am getting a smaller one because I was slicing a Roma tomato for a sandwich today and wanted a smaller cutting board, so... . Easy to clean, also!
