I was thinking of getting one extra PCB and making a one-hand keyboard for a friend who has limited mobility in his left hand and does all the typing with his right hand. Actually, another column and another row of keys would be nice for that purpose, but I think getting a custom PCB made may be more expensive and I probably won't be able to do it as well. If I split the thumb keys, there would be plenty of room for modifier keys to make up for the small number of keys in total. Do you guys think, that's a good idea? Or should I try to make my own, based on the ergodox design? Adding another row and another column to the layout and getting it printed shouldn't be too hard I guess.
