Dev0Hello,
I am from Germany and made myself a custom firmware (changed the source) with the aim to use it on a every computer where the default German layout is configured in the OS. I am a programer and so I programing layer with keys like {}()<>&% easly available. I am at work, so I can not post a picture of the layout at the moment. The custom firmware is needed, because some of may layered Keys send for example ALTGR+7 for the { symbol to the PC.
DanielWCool please give me some more details about that... Is your custom firmware available for public or OpenSource ? Is it based on Bens OS-Firmware ? ... maybe it would be nice to make a project for a complete NEO2 port on this... ?
But that all sounds like the old keyboard-technologys are not equipt for the future... maybe there is a Unicode-Keyboard-Keycode needed and a driver to handle it as a kind of software keyboard interface ... something like that would open all possibilitys of layouts and functions...
DanielWDo you have that custom firmware available somewhere? Github perhaps?
Was also thinking about creating some custom keys for common programing symbols.
To that final result (for L0):
