I see the extension distance is 26.7 inches. Is that the height from the surface of the desk to where the mount attaches to the monitor? Or is that just a linear measure of the arm?

n8sbSeems like you and I are the only two that need to know this.. I called the company directly and they were 100% sure themselves. It is somewhere between 22" and 25" I think but that is MAX limit.

jmattesThanks for doing that and letting me know. The description states "14 in (35.56 cm) of one-touch height adjustment" so Im still a little hesitant. But I would hope that the company itself has the best info.
I just gave them a call as well and they stated that you can only get 14" of vertical extension from the arm itself. The pole mount is 8" in height and they recommend attaching the arm no higher than 6 inches up, so that would give you a total of about 20". Im assuming this is to the VESA portion of the mount / mid monitor.

n8sbSurface of desk to midpoint of VESA mount (max height): 19.5" Edge of desk to VESA mount (max reach): 27"
I have mine sitting at the very top of the pole, this arm can get very low but can't reach very high so that's how I compensated for the height loss. I haven't had any issues and feel very safe with the monitors sitting up there. I'm thinking the 6" recommendation is to cover themselves.
