The ESEE Imlay gets its name from the well-known technical slot canyon in Zion National Park, which requires more than 40 rappels and navigation of numerous difficult obstacles. The knife features a blunted tip for safety during rope activities and rescue missions, so as not to accidentally puncture. However, the serrated 440C edge allows you to saw through all kinds of materials with ease. To reduce weight, the handle is skeletonized. Designed to be attached to a PFD, harness, or belt, the Imlay can be deployed by removing the secondary retention strap from the sheath post and thumbing the blade out like any other fixed blade.
