A lightweight survival knife with plenty of utility, the ESEE Izula can get you out of a jam. Named for the tough, aggressive, light-on-its feet Peruvian Bullet Ant—so called because its sting is comparable to being shot with a bullet—the knife packs a serious punch despite its small stature. Made from 1095 carbon steel with a textured, powder-coated finish, the 2.6-inch blade is designed to maintain an edge through both piercing and slicing tasks. The full-tang construction is great for the outdoors as it doesn’t have a lockup and won’t fail under intense pressure. If you’ve got survival tools already, opt for the knife alone. If you want a baseline set of tools to get you started, grab the kit, which includes paracord, split rings, a fire-starting rod, an emergency whistle, a snap hook, and MOLLE lock and hardware.
