Excellent , but...
The sound is very clear and precise as the positive reviews accurately describe. The most prominent weakness relating to the sound when comparing it to other cans, is a slight "congestion" due its shallow closed cup design.
Build quality is excellent, wood is very nice Walnut and the aluminum like metal is well engineered and elegant with no visible plastic. Hinges rotate just enough to adjust nicely on the ears but not the full 45 so they can lay flat. Initially the most prominent physical weakness was its strong clamp force which was quite a concern until it loosened up by bending the headband portion then resting it on my robothead stand. The weight can also be an issue for some, I've become used to it.
The sound and comfort were enhanced when I rolled the pads with Brainwavz Oval sheepskin and Hybrid pads. Both fit perfectly and combined with Dekoni Nuggets these have become a very nice addition to the ever growing collection. If the freakin Pandas ever arrive, I may be content for a while

ndgnsomg, the Brainwavz oval sheepskins will fit on these?! I've got a pair lying around, supposed to be a replacement for either my 58x or 6xx.
I think I'll be sold on these if the detail retrieval is anywhere near what the reviews are saying.
