A Fine Tribute to an American Hero

Released in 2015, this limited-edition Esterbrook fountain pen commemorates Abraham Lincoln and the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War. It’s handcrafted from fine midnight black Italian resin with a German-made, 18-karat-gold-plated iridium nib. The grip section is done in 18-karat gold and sterling silver vermeil with a unique grid design, while the cap features a handmade 18-karat gold and sterling silver vermeil filigree display. Lincoln’s signature is engraved on the band. Esterbrook’s ties to the 16th president date back to 1866—the year after the assassination—when founder Richard Esterbrook released his first Lincoln pen to honor the man. The original ad for this pen is catalogued in the Library of Congress.
