Is ETA movements still in business with Eterna and if so why a Sellita movement? I am not as knowledgeable as many in this area so can someone give an explanation?

Interesting. Thanks for the reply. It's odd the founder of a well known and respected movement is limited to an competitor.

NewbieOGETA is now owned by swatch and Eterna is under threat due to mismanagement which is a real shame as their history and heritage are up there with some of the greats. There are some great YouTube videos to watch if you are interested in their history.

JoysimathOoo that looks fabulous. The finish is quite high. I do not know how legible is on low light as i like to go out quite a bit so i have to read the dial in semi light. Oterwise il looks fabulous. Cheers

Eterna does't get enough respect. Their watches are as well made as an Oris but for a fraction of the price.

Glycine doesn't have the same fit and finish, the movement is probably better regulated from Eterna since they are more of a boutique brand/watch maker and are independent. Besides its the double 12, what's the point? IMO the 24 hour dial Airman is the one to get, that's what makes the Airman unique.

PBF123Yes,but how much would an equivalent sports/casual Eterna cost?

Instead of naming it the ETERNA KONTIKI TANGAROA I wish they had gone with Kontiki Kangaroo. I don’t know why.

WatchyoutalkingaboutEvidently they took half of your advice--this watch doesn't show up anywhere on their website, and specifically not under the Kon-Tiki heading. Guessing it's discontinued first gen they decided to give the boot to.

It's a great watch for the money. Eterna makes a nice watch. I just hate when a watch seller doesn't give full specs, like the case diameter, for instance. Don't make customers have to do homework to find out what you're selling.

CHansonI agree that they have been lazier than normal. But the large majority of companies still won't give you lug to lug. So its shit all round.

TwentySixAndAgreed. It seems like pulling teeth to get a lug to lug measurement from sellers across the board.

Can’t tell—is this a watch, or a cure for insomnia?
