I bought one of these from drop about two years ago and have used it daily ever since. the stitching has held up fine and has suffered no tears in it at all. The insert is nothing more then a little flap of matching leather. I’m not sure it’s even necessary since there is no room for it to move around in there no matter how small the watch is. I grabbed a couple quick pictures this evening as I prepared my logistics for tomorrow. (Subtle brag post)

If I buy one of this, where can I get my Rolex Batman?

Well they're attractive, I'll give them that. They're also a little pricey, but not onerously. On the other hand, I think I recall someone posting that when they travel, they just stuff each watch they're taking in an old gym sock! Might not as elegant as a solution as these fancy-pants pouches, but probably as effective!

what's the need for a pouch for the watch?
rumata13So you could switch between another watch when you're travelling, or to store watches that you don't wear often in a drawer? Perhaps storing it in a pouch before tossing it in your gym bag when you're at the gym?

Does anyone have any photos of these watch pouches to show what they look like after they have some wear/patina?
tack1Not exact pictures of the watch pouch aging. But here's how the exact same leather used on the watch pouch would age over time.

I'd like to see a watch strap drop from Eternal Leather, maybe Buttero, Shell Cordovan, or Hermann Oak.

40 weeks later, I still use this pouch daily. I put the watch I want to wear in the pouch then it goes into my dopp kit in my gym bag for the next morning. When I travel, I usually wear one watch and have a second in my luggage, in this pouch. it takes up WAY less space than a Wolf watch roll (or similar) and gives it plenty of protection. It has developed a really cool dark patina around the edges that I wasn't expecting. The stitching has help up great so far. Totally worth it for a compact way to carry a watch around. I'll upload a current picture later if I think of it.

Watch pouches ready to be cut; a still from a video showing the Italian tannery's stamp on the back of the hide. From their Facebook page.

Eternal Leather is a one-man Hong Kong operation, Colin Hui; He doesn't try to conceal that. Massdrop is to blame for not stating that in the product description, if the omission of that fact is considered suspicious.

He uses branded leather from known Italian, American, and Japanese tanneries, and the assembly looks very good in photos.
And he does watch straps: It would be nice to get a drop of some of his straps, which look very well assembled compared to ... well, I won't go there. If you want Made in America for patriotic reasons, more power to you. If you think it means better quality, well, that's case by case.
