Do these meet OSHA requirements? Or are they just general sound "dampening"?
Do you seriously care about OHSA?
I am 3rd party electrical/automation, so I go into all kinds of different factories.
And a lot of them require ear protection. And I would much rather be 100% compliant. And is kinda why I would even have these.
Noise Reduction with HD5 Earphones
Use of these earphones at full volume on portable music players is within OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits for 10 ½ hours per day (52 ½ hours per week). Ambient noise levels up to 108 dB (foam eartips) or up to 102 dB with 3-flange eartips does not significantly affect overall noise dose.
My question isn't on the earbuds PLAYING music, it is on how much they deaden the ambient noise levels.
Manufacturer website says NRR 27 with the foam tips.
