If anyone wants to buy this set plus 3 eufy door sensors all operated by the same app, still in transparent plastic shrink wrapping, contact me. Could ship within US. Outside US needs to bear the shipping cost. Thanks
Do they make a version of this that can take a SIM card and work over cellular network or store footage locally? I’m looking for something for my cabin where I don’t have cable, only cell hot spot.
"Worlds 1st"! Please, can we get away from the Indigogo / Kickstarter hyperbole and exaggeration? All statements like this mean is that you can't take anything in the Description seriously.
theMZAMotion activation is via a motion sensor and not by image. This is how they get the really high battery life. The one year claim is based on very limited motion detected.
Last I checked the cloud storage was not yet available, still.
As of now, it's accessed via a phone app. A web interface is planned.
Their emails seem to have slowed so some of this info may be out of date.
Does anyone know the difference between this Eufycam and the cheaper Eufycam E that is more commonly found around sites like Amazon and Home Depot? On their website the have comparison charts between them, Nest, and Arlo, but not between their own 2 models of cameras.
noix_rougeFor the same reason that people install door locks when they can be easily picked or broken. All security is a trade-off. In this case, lower overall cost and ease-of-installation is a big factor, and in exchange you pay for it with the lower inherent security of wifi. I think this is more for residential folks who want to keep an eye on things and have the camera act as a certain measure of casual deterrence, not to secure an impenetrable bunker against determined attack.
noix_rougeMuch like locks, most crimes against homes are by the lowest common denominator. As much as I abhor that my apartment building uses 4 pin locks on my front door, the common criminal isn't going to be picking it. Instead, they're looking for a window to break. It's really the same with bicycle locks and whatnot where bolt cutters are more common than lock picks. All the same, they're not carrying around jammers.
My eufycam has proven beneficial. It caught building maintenance staff entering my apartment with no notification nor permission.
So who should avoid stuff like this? People who are at risk of more high end crimes. Chances are they're not looking for the cheaper easier solutions and are getting something professional, installed by professionals, because they can afford it.
