I have the i5 version of this machine. It's a really nice piece of hardware & compared to the Surface it's got fairly equivalent hardware for a much better price point. Plus if you do some benchmark comparisons of the 7th gen vs the 8th gen Intel processors it's a pretty negligible performance increase. As for accessories, if you buy a Surface Pro all you get is the computer. With an Eve V you get the computer, the bluetooth keyboard cover and the pen. As a System Admin I'd really recommended this hardware to anyone looking for a Surface but wants to save some money. Also I purchased mine through Drop & got it about a week after the end of the drop. All in all I've had nothing but good experience with Eve from a customer service standpoint.

natron62The 8th gen chips are much faster than the 7th gen chips. The i5s got hyper threading or a core count double in the 8th generation leading to a huge boost in performance.

BobbapusExcept that its a Y series chip. Meaning that its for tablets. The Y series chips aren't quad core today either.... and they are rarely used anymore.

Jimster480I’ve done video editing using 1080 @ 60fps video with this unit with many effects and had no issues. Gaming is another story
