pretty good
Bought an Alt high profile. the stabs on that suck, but then again i didnt clip them or lube them. I bought these, and lubed them. sound amazing and stable. don't understand where people "clipped" them, they are already flat, so clipping the little legs is pointless. they dont have that little bump that makes contact with the PCB so idk. friend saying mine might have come "clipped" but doubt it. I'm rambling now, good stabs overall. they are not expensive either. if $20 is to much, lol go back to buying a keyboard from bestbuy.

In that link it should clarify what clipping the stabs means. The stabs bought from drop ‘Everglades’ don’t have the protruding feet. I also used the stupid fish foam. Sounds pretty good, high quality, direct fit. I would recommend also filming your switches if you’re already going to be opening them

They rattle like no tomorrow without any mods, and I wouldn't recommend using them without post mods. But after clipping + lubing w/ Krytox 205g0 and dielectric grease, these stabs sound great. I did the same mods to my previous stock Drop CTRL stabs, and they sound much better than them after all of the work, since they're a tighter fit. Definitely worth the investment if you are super picky with your stabilizer sounds.

ExernianDid you "band-aid" mod these or do you think clipping and lubing is enough?

J_WilliI'm personally not a fan of the band-aid mod, so I skipped out on it. I definitely think that clipping and lubing was enough for me, but I'd say give both a shot and see which you like best.

A great replacement for most stock plate-mount stabs
While many dislike plate mount, many boards still only offer this type of stab mounting. Those that do often come with cheap, loose fitting and rattley stabilizers that even when modded sound and feel awful. However, these stabilizers are also rattley stock, so they do require some modding (lube, and clipping the stem legs) which is a downside for anyone who just wants a simple plug-and-play option. When clipped and lubed however, these sound fantastic. I currently have these in my Drop CTRL and there is no noticible rattle, or fitting issues. They fit snugly so you don't have to worry about your modifier keys wobbling. If you are able to get these on a discount, definitely pick some up if you plan on working with a build that uses plate-mount.

Chose it for Drop Carina kit
Admittedly I do not know much about how the technical bits under the hood of a mechanical keyboard work yet. However, I read reviews that the default stabilizers for the Carina weren't so good, so rather than risk dissatisfaction, I got these, as they're plate-mounted (the Drop Carina PCB board does not use screw-in stabilizers, the other kind, apparently) and looked good. Haven't noticed any problems so far.

I dont get it
The stabs were loud, rattly, and far worse than the stock stabs in my CTRL. At just under the cost of zealpc cherry plate stabs, which are amazing without even modding them (clipping legs and band aid mod), I'm not seeing who the target audience is. I took them out immediately and swapped in zealpc stabs, which only cost $5 more and perform how I would expect. I am open to the idea that maybe I didn't install these right, cause it really doesn't make sense at this price point. The posts seem to dip far below the housing compared to my zeal set (shouldn't matter since switch & cap hold posts up), but it's not like stabs are rocket science.

Needed some extra love in order to make it sound good
Honestly these stabs are not as bad as other reviews says it is but it ain't great either. For the housing I used white lithium grease which seems to work perfectly and never had an issue with the stabs moving around too much. I also had to clip the feet which I believe should already come pre-clipped. I band-aid mod the edges and used foam dampeners for the PCB. Lightly greasing the foam pads with 205g0 made the stabs feel lively and help lower the pitch in order to achieve the thock sound. Also used a good amount of dielectric grease on the bars in order to completely remove the rattle noise. At the end of it all, I was able to achieve a really good sound from these stabs. The reason I am giving it a three stars is that I feel if you put in the same amount of effort into stock stabilizers, you can achieve the same results. They are not good nor really bad but just not worth the money if your keyboard already has stock stabilizers. If you got the extra money, it doesn't hurt to get them since the stems themselves are really nice same with the bars.

No, these are plate mount. Plate mount stabs are always rattly and need work on them. as someone who built more than 5 keyboard i can testify as i have seen a lot of stabs, plate mount just like screw in

Game Changer
These stabs changed the whole feel of my Drop ALT keyboard. The biggest difference was on the spacebar and that alone would be worth it to me. Fantastic upgrade!
