Can anyone confirm the listed weight and dimensions of the QE? I could not find that information on the EverSewn website, nor is it listed in the manual (downloaded from their website).
MassDrop specs: Dimensions: 17.75 x 9 x 8.5 in (45 x 22.8 x 21.5 cm) and Weight: 16 lbs (7.2 kg).
4-11-19 EDIT: According to EverSewn Customer Support, the machine is 18.5" x 12.5" x 7.5". MassDrop is way off.
4-27-19 EDIT: Order arrived today. Machine weighs 18 lb 10 oz.
Can you raise the presser foot manually. In other words, is the knee lift to raise the presser foot the only way to raise it?
Can you cut the thread without using the automatic cutter?
I'm seriously considering this, and trying to make sure that I know what I'm getting into. It looks like a really good value. I'm an intermediate sewer, currently sewing on 2 mechanical machines: Featherweight 221-1948 and Elnita 245. They're fine, but don't have the modern features.
Thank you.
A serious rewrite/edit of this description is needed! In addition to the previous comments, who would want an extension table made of “glass”! Also, the statement about $200 off at checkout was very confusing. I bought an Eversewn for my daughter and was considering ordering one for myself for taking to classes and retreats because of the weight and was excited to see this QE edition but I’ll wait a while before joining this drop.
cathywiThe table is indeed made of acrylic and not glass. The $200 off at checkout is basically a coupon offered at checkout so its $799-$200 at checkout!
The description is confusing. The specs say 'straight stitch only' but the machine clearly shows it can do zigzag. I would not join this drop without better information.

SHainesI agree! It is considered a quilting machine but doesn't have a needle up/down? I am going to hold off for now.
