Can you raise the presser foot manually. In other words, is the knee lift to raise the presser foot the only way to raise it? Can you cut the thread without using the automatic cutter? I'm seriously considering this, and trying to make sure that I know what I'm getting into. It looks like a really good value. I'm an intermediate sewer, currently sewing on 2 mechanical machines: Featherweight 221-1948 and Elnita 245. They're fine, but don't have the modern features. Thank you.

sususanI bought a small traveling machine that does not have a thread cutter....amazing how much thread is wasted without it

sususanLooks like you can raise presser foot manually OR with knee extension. Here's one link to the manual: https://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/media/products/Eversewn/sparrowqe/manual.pdf
