For long-wearing comfort, the Sol Cool Jade fabrics are cool to the touch and the Silvadur technology activates silver ions in the presence of undesirable bacteria to help eliminate odor. The invisible, odorless Insect Shield treatment is bound to the fabric fibers (so it stays on your clothes, not your skin) and lasts through 70 washes. Ants, flies, chiggers, midges, and ticks don't like it, and neither do mosquitoes, which can transmit insect-borne diseases like Zika, Chikungunya, Dengue, and West Nile viruses. Both hats have an adjustable chin strap, and the Cape Hat has the added benefit of a snap-on contoured cape for neck protection.
