is it good enough to be used as a base layer in colder conditions? such as sleeping with it, or when trekking in colder environments?

alonmI'm curious too. ExOfficial says on their web site: "Seeking the perfect ultralight base layer for winter travel?" The description at STP refers to them as "silk weight." So being ultralight and silk weight, i imagine there may be better solutions for warmth in colder conditions.
