Exotac fireROD
Fire Starting Made Easy
Compact, lightweight, and full of utility, the Exotac fireROD features a ferrocerium rod that lasts up to 10,000 strikes. Made from CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, it’s designed to be carried with a knife, making it a useful companion for hikers, campers, and survivalists. Inside the fireROD’s waterproof head is a small opening for storing tinder, water purification tablets, and other small items. To use it, scrape the spine of your knife (jimping works best) along the ferrocerium rod at a slight angle, and watch as the sparks fly. Clip it to your lanyard or stow it in your sheath for convenient carry.
