I have the larger one and this smaller version is just what I wanted for weekend hikes in the woods. Can hold enough matches to make it through a weekend. Very well made and it is sturdy and lightweight. It fits nicely in my pocket or jacket. Like all exotac products this is very well made. I think the product can be improved by removing the striker from the bottom as this area as this is the first area to get wet and then the striker material falls off. No issues because I always carry a sheet of sand paper which is more durable. This product does what it is advertised to do. Can it be improved - Yes, but I carry both when going on longer hikes or when traveling overseas. great product overall!

XL holds about 22 UCO stormproof matches. The striker on the bottom is useless for the for those matches, but the longer striker under the cap works well. Applying a light amount of grease to o-ring makes it a little easier to twist the cap on and off.

Good tight case, carry it everywhere and keeps matches dry. Striker is weirdly placed and as mentioned, the bottom one either gets wet or comes off. Replaced it with a piece of rough sandpaper - works great and more durable in wet environment, but the case does what it advertises. It's an essential in my pack.

This is a good product but does have one problem. The striker pad at the bottom comes off. I ordered I new one thinking that there was a problem with the glue on the one that came with the cap. I cleaned the bottom off with acetone and applied the new one and it came off too. Check out my review https://youtu.be/xVdLFMi5RjY

Cool looking and obviously durable, but there are lighter, equally durable and cheaper polymer options available that have even greater holding capacity.

Not a whole lot to say it’s a match holder and it works very well.
