If you frequent the outdoors, you may know Exotac. The company—founded in 2009 by Purdue engineering graduate Rob Falkenhayn—is known for its compact and utilitarian fire equipment of all different shapes and sizes. The nanoSPARK is the latest in the Exotac line, described as the world’s smallest self-contained firestarter. It’s a simple tool. Made from hard-anodized aluminum, it features a twist-off construction and houses a glob of tinder inside. Spin the flint wheel on top to ignite the tinder and you can get your fire started in no time. Designed to function with one hand, the nanoSPARK even works when wet. It’ll make a great backup stove lighter, too.
Note: At checkout, choose between black, gunmetal, olive drab, and orange color options. You can add the nanoSPARK Flint Kit for (+ $5).
