I had to replace the Exotac Titanlighter flint. I use Zippo flints but ... Attempting to get a spark all I got were blisters from flicking the wheel and not getting a spark. The striking wheel is tightly held against the flint that striking a spark is impossible. Is there an easy way to 'break' the flint in?

JJSchwartzI had the same issue with my brand new lighter. The flint was pushing against the wheel so tightly that the wheel could not rotate freely. I contacted Exotac regarding it and they offered to send me replacement flints and spring to see if it fixes the issue. However, no replacement flint were sent to me and follow up emails were ignored. Marvelous customer service indeed!

JJSchwartzi lay my flints down and slit them in half i use bik lighter flints when the old one runs out of fluid you just lay down the flint on a 2x4 and take your knife and press where you want to cut it then put it in your lighter
