$160 on Amazon, immediate shipping and arrival in 2 days with Prime.
Because, what you forgot is that Drop is not about just American buyers. Drop has many customers in various parts of the world (like me in Canada), and since Drop has unbeatable shipping costs, it makes these purchases compelling and competitive for many buyers outside the USA. Those "numerous" eBay sellers and online knives retailers often charge an arm and a leg for shipping to other places besides the USA.
A recent example is that I was looking for a $54.99 slipjoint on some of these very well known knife retailers, and shipping to Canada was $18 USD and up. So I can tell you with certitude, even if a knife was $15 or even $20 more on Drop compared to say, KnivesShipFree (they don't ship free to the rest of the world by the way, just the US), it would still be way better for me to buy it on Drop. And seeing that usually Drop's price is a few bucks more, certainly not $15, then the knives sold on Drop are an awesome deal for me, and I suspect for many other buyers around the world.
So, you just gotta stop thinking about items sold here on Drop as being aimed at just American buyers; this is the online way, the goal for Drop is to sell everywhere. So if whatever item is bit less interesting for 100 buyers in the USA, but Drop can still sell it to 300 people from elsewhere, then Drop has no problem for you buying it on eBay or KnivesShipFreeJustUSA or USAOnlyKnives or whatnot...
But, but...trump always says: “America first!”
You must be some kind’a damn cominist? Or worse, one ’o them damned old demacrits! Which is you boy? And don’t be given me none a yer fancy West-coast, three-cylinder words, neither!!!
Oh, @RayF, you murder me 😂😂
For the most part yes, but in Sam's defense Joel Cairo pulled a gun him during their first meeting.
It was Wilmer, the cheap gunsel that Sam really didn't care for. Sam was teasing him and Wilmer said:
"Keep on riding me and they're gonna be picking iron out of your liver."
That's no way to make friends...
Bit of trivia; the actor who played Wimer, Elisha Cook, went on to have a recurring roll on Magnum PI as "Ice Pick' Hofstetler". Any movie with Bogart & Greenstreet playing off each other is just gold.
Didn’t know that about Cook. Glad to hear it.
Yes, Greenstreet was born to play the “Fatman”—flawless line delivey. Of course Hammett’s dialogue is unmatched still!
