I have to echo the comments of others below, the pricing for this drop is not competitive at all.
For example, Cult pens current price on the Pearwood Ambition is about $65, compared to $145 in this drop!
Their other prices: Black Resin is $43 compared to $60 here, Black Sand is $49 vs $60, Black Rhombus is $59 vs $90, Steel is $67 vs $145 and finally Coconut is $96 vs $160.
All above prices are ex. VAT and so will be higher if you're inside the UK/EU.

Faber-Castell nib/feed units are great (a little wet, so order a size under your usual) but the ergonomics of this pen are not great. The pen is quite slim and not that comfortable for longer writing sessions (no curve in the barrel to relieve pressure) and your fingers will get inky unscrewing the "teensy" little "section" from the body. Also, the cap has a mushy plastic (nylon?) liner which does securely fastens to post, but with a "thud" more than a "click." Not as crisp to post, or as comfy to hold, as the Loom.
If you like this style of pen, I would check out the Lamy Accent. Similar shape/design, but with a more secure cap and a nice bulging grip area. The same teensy section, but it is removed through a neat "elevator" feature by turning the grip.

Buy these from Amazon.de (Germany) instead. So much cheaper, especially factoring I the 19% VAT discount on deliveries outside the EU.

d111Yeah you're completely right! A search for "Faber-Castell AMBITION" turns up all kinds of deals.

Ordered and received Opart Black Sand version. No converter included (the drop stated that this would be included for all pens other than Black). Support contacted and awaiting resolution.

Given option for full return vs partial refund. Appreciate the service and response from Massdrop, and hope this is clarified in future drops.

Nice pen, but it's less expensive on Amazon for the Pearwood, Coconut wood, Rhombus editions and $2 more for the standard edition.

MD check your pricing for option for pearwood. MSRP is $120. You are charging more.

The Ambitions are very nice and under-appreciated pens, but $145 + shipping is hardly much of a bargain for the stainless steel version.

Fantastic pen and fantastic price. I have one in pearwood and it is just beautiful. @F00lw0lf - the flow is heavy for the nib size yes. But if you like a wet writer then this is the one. 🤗 Edit: Well the price is not so fantastic after all. You can get it for cheaper elsewhere.

Anyone else getting this pen noticed that the flow is rather heavy? I got the EF nib, and it behaves like a fine and having a rather heavy flow. This leads to thicker lines and sometimes blotches. Compared with other EF nib pencils I have, this one is the worst. :(

Sadly, I have noticed that after buying this that most places have this pen for far cheaper, like everywhere. Lesson learned however and the order button doesn't seem quite to appealing no more.
