I've had my Cossatot 600 for about 3 months now and wanted to follow up with some impressions. Received it just in time for a 4-day camping weekend and it was worth its weight in gold. Performed like a champ in heat, dust and rain, and I had to recharge it only once which I did via an Anker portable battery normally used for charging smartphones. A little large for EDC but it stays within reach on my nightstand, and it's my go-to when heading out for an evening walk or run. Very happy and impressed with this flashlight. Cheers!

A whole month later and no clue when it's going to ship. I asked to cancel the order if it won't ship this week and I'll just get it from Amazon for $10 more shipped. I think the reality of Massdrop's business model has finally come to bear as the deals aren't really that good anymore, and with the month-plus wait it's a no-brainer.

mikec1Yeah, cancelled my order and I'm done with this site. If the savings were substantial I could see the reason to wait 1-2 months for something, but not for a $10 difference. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

This is a good looking light. You can get something SIMILAR LOOKING on Amazon for like $5, but it won't be a usable kit, and it won't have built-in charger. The generic crap on Amazon only has the body, no battery, no charger, and they use the 14550, which is like 2 CR123's put end to end. The 14550 look like AA's, but have a much higher voltage. I've fried a regular AA flashlight with a 14550. :) (It was a $20 Coast flashlight too). Using the 123 made that impossible. :D

Looks very good on paper but a few questions that I'm hoping someone can answer:
1. Is anyone familiar/experienced with Factor Equipment, and can they point me toward reviews of the brand or tell me about their real-world experience? 2. Are you able to stand the Cossatot 600 on the switch end? 3. The specs for runtime, beam distance and max intensity differ greatly between what's posted here and what's in the downloadable user manual for this light on Factor Equipment's website [https://www.factorequipment.com/product/flashlights/tactical-flashlights/cossatot-600-led-flashlight/] Does anyone know what the actual in-the-field specs are? 4. How long does this flashlight take to fully charge?
Thanks in advance.

$35 shipping to Canada on a $60 item? Just ridiculous. Compare to other items for proof.

Is there something that makes this light stand out from other offerings of the same size from Nitecore or the other manufacturers?
I have a bunch of other lights from other companies that fit the niche this one falls into. All of them are satisfactory or better.
I'm wondering if the market is saturated, and this is just another flavor of essentially the same thing.
It's probably a great light. Just wondering if it offers anything different to someone who already has a handful of lights like this.

I bought the Cossatot 1000 in a drop last year on MD and have been very pleased, then again, I am not a flashlight expert so others may differ.
