this set is great and the minis are awesome, I'm a kickstarter backer and hope everything works out, I bought into this too though because I didnt have the money for the sacred 40 at the kickstarter time. I hope everyone gets what they paid for, in the mean time the minis can be used for everything from D and D to Fate Core games. Worth picking up at this price.

The Kickstarter is a train wreck, no doubt, but buying here could help out backers still waiting to for theirs to get out of storage.
As for the game itself - the components are great, but the gameplay itself could use a lot of work. You'll probably be house-ruling it.
The minis are awesome - If I had the cash to spare, I'd be tempted to join just for another set.

I helped kickstart this game...terrible experience. I still haven't received all of what was promised. Luckily, I did receive my miniatures and base game, but no expansions.
I believe it started out as a great idea with good intentions...but the planning and execution failed miserably. I can't believe they're massdropping this game when not everyone who actually made it happen has recieved their products. Shame

Kickstarter backer still waiting for this game. We have not heard from Alex in months and it was last year he said some thing. I wonder whose games these are

Please don't support this scumbag. You may not even get the game. He is a scam artist and he hasn't even fulfilled the Kickstarter for this and now he is selling the stock that his backers should have gotten.

Simple put, this was a pair(backed base game and minis) of over-promised and underwhelmed campaigns. In hindsight, too much focus on the extras detracted from the rule book. Even with the 2e rules, its clunky and cumbersome. I am fortunate to have received some of the content purchased. I am hoping after the shipping woes, focus comes back to the rules and make it the playable game it should be.

My understanding is that the project creator grossly underestimated shipping costs. The product has been created, but it's sitting in the distribution centers because the project creator ran out of money to ship the Kickstarter rewards. He says he's selling off extra inventory to raise funds to ship the promised rewards to backers.
It sounds like supporting this drop isn't a case of throwing your money away by giving it to a thief, or a case of cheating Kickstarter backers out of something that's rightfully theirs, but one of re-aligning resources to try to get the backers what was promised to them.
Still not sure if I'm willing to struggle with the rulebook, but if I do go in on this drop, I'll do it with a clear conscience. I not only won't be cheating someone else out of something, but I'll be actively helping to get them what they're due.

That update was from February of 2016, well before the issues described in my earlier comment came to light and they stopped updating the backers. Attached is the explanation given in a conversation on December 19 2016.

Easier to see in hindsight, but, back then, creators used pre-order numbers and overestimated retail sales, resulting in too much retail product, and not enough cash flow for shipping. Nowadays, KS creators only make enough for KS backers, replacement parts, and additional copies to reach printer minimums.

The creator of this game is a liar, a thief, and a fraud who took a lot of money from people and has given them nothing in return. Many of us have received nothing in return for our pledged dollars - yet said creator is now selling the promised merchandise here on Massdrop. Please stop and consider that for a moment before joining this drop. We all like getting good deals - but it should not be at the expense of others and we should, as a community, refuse to prop up / support a crook like this fellow.
