For having one I can say I'm pretty disappointed with it. The ceramic side is great no way around it but the diamond is no good... At least if you plan on using it a fare amount. Diamond is almost eternal as a sharping media the same goes for this diamond incrusted ones, the problem is in the "incrusted" part of things, the metal plate supporting the diamond is way to soft and the diamond particules gets ripped from it and you soon have a naked plate... It's just good to protect the ceramic at this point. But if you take this in consideration and have a proper sharpening setup at home and use this only in emergency on your trips and use the diamond side VERY softly then this is a good stone to pack. I insist on the great ceramic side!
