So, the name "fällkniven" literally means "the folding knife", and is also synonymous with swiss army style knives in Swedish. I mean, sure, your only selling to Americans, and I know the umlauts are exotic and all, but for crying out loud it's like selling slush under the name "ice cream"!

masaersIt's a Swedish brand and I think they sell plenty of knives in Sweden as well. I know that they sell them in Denmark, where the name pretty much means the same (foldekniven). Still I agree the name does seem a bit off, guess they started out just selling folding knives.

johanvtsYeah, Fällknien is a swedish brand and sell lots of knives in sweden. They have an extremely good reputation, and it's well earned. Also they started out producing high quality folding knives. So, no, it's not a rip off on the swiss army knife (which doesn't have anything about being foldable in their name)
Please feel free to check out Fällknivens site at www.fallkniven.se
