Look, if there is ONE knife you should own its the Fallkniven F1. I sold my Spyderco Carbon Stretch (as cool as it was) and bought one of these. If you don't own a fixed blade start here. What makes it special is that the steel in the blade is laminated (like plywood) offering superior strength and durability . Go to youtube and search 'Fallkniven A1 destruction test' under user 'ALL OUTDOOR' -crack a beer and watch all 6 parts (the A1 is just a larger version of the F1 a different blade shape but same laminated construction.) You'll know what to buy. ~A
