Fallkniven Next-Generation Fixed Blade

One of the latest knives in Swedish knifemaker Fallkniven’s extensive collection, the Next-Generation fixed blade pays tribute to the JAS 39 Gripen, a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft of the Swedish Air Force. To do the aircraft justice, the knife employs premium materials, like micarta (in your choice of two colors) for the handle and 3G steel for the blade. A laminated steel with a core of Super Gold powder steel and VG2 sides, the blade is hardened to an impressive 62 on the Rockwell scale for edge retention. To up the ante, the micarta handle has a nickel silver medallion that’s coated with 24-karat gold. At just over 8 inches long, the Next-Generation is small enough for ease of carry, yet large enough for skinning, chopping, and heavy duty slicing. The knife comes in a presentation box with a leather sheath for carry.
