Traditional Look, Modern Cobalt Steel

Aesthetically, this Fallkniven gentleman’s folder is traditional. But looks can be deceiving. Built like a classic pocket knife, it features Fallkniven’s laminated cobalt steel, which is hardened to 60 on the Rockwell scale for an edge that’ll hold through taxing work and light duty. Like any good gentleman’s folder, this one opens manually by way of the nail nick and locks in place with the liner lock. The handle is made from handsome cocobolo wood with the Fallkniven logo right in the center. It’s fastened with a brushed stainless steel bolster to solidify the old-school look. The knife comes in a wooden presentation box if you want to gift it to dad, the groom, or a relative.

I had a problem with my Fallkniven GP bought on Drop. Somehow it created some rust spots on the blade so I tried to contract Fallkniven, they said that it was the vendor that had to take care of the warranty. When I contracted Drop.com they told me there was NO WARRANTY with it. I've contacted Fallkniven again and this is was they answered: "In Sweden/Europe we have laws that states that the warranty time is two years and I believe that it's about the same in the USA? DROP has earlier asked to buy products from our company but we have turned them down, much since we sell to distributors/agents/wholesalers only but also because it seems like they aren't a registered company. I believe that they don't pay taxes and have no expenses for running their "service" and organisation. This is finally the reason why they don't offer any kind of support when you go back to them. Their language is kind but they say no to everything you ask about. A normal dealer had for sure charged a higher price for this GP but he had also accepted to assist you and contacted his supplier.  As a result of this misbehavior we have formed a warranty which points out non-functional ways of marketing. So, it's up to the customer to chose the cheap and unsafe purchase or add some more to the price and go for the safe. Instead of a ten year warranty, we're down to two years warranty which still is within the Swedish/European laws and regulations if you buy from a dealer which offers our products at a too low cost level. So, our company still stands up for our products, DROP isn't even close to customer support. If customers in general knew this, organisations like DROP would die within 24 hours. All the best" Morale: DON'T BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE FROM DROP.COM!!!
